About
Welcome to Arab Detroit!
Arab Detroit was founded with the purpose of promoting an accurate image about the Arab American community and the Arab world.
The greater Detroit area is the home to the largest concentration of Arab Americans in North America. As a result, Detroit is known as the “capital of Arab America.” Arab Detroit is a “bridge” connecting the Arab world with Detroit and in turn connecting Detroit with the Arab world and the Arab American community.
The diversity of the Arab American community includes: the early Syrian and Lebanese Christians who migrated at the turn of the last century, the recent Lebanese Muslim immigrants in Dearborn, the Chaldean Christian community from Iraq, the Iraqi Shia Muslim refugees in east Dearborn and Warrendale, the Palestinian and Jordanian communities in Livonia and Dearborn and the Yemeni immigrant community in Dearborn and Hamtramck. In short, the Arab American community of Arab Detroit is a myriad of diversity—both ethnically and religiously.
Arab Detroit’s mission is achieved through the dissemination of accurate information about Arab Americans and the Arab world through the development of this website, informative print materials, educational programs, cultural events and multi-media programs.
It is the intent of Arab Detroit to be the principal source of information about the Arab American community and the Arab world.

That Arab Detroit was founded by Warren David comes as no surprise to anyone who knows him. He epitomizes the entrepreneur who turns visions into thriving enterprises. In addition to Arab Detroit, David is the president and CEO of David Communications, a multi-cultural public relations, advertising, and marketing firm representing clients in the corporate and non-profit sectors.
